Trimester I
1. Introduction To Sports Management
To introduce the basics of sports management and how it is applied.
2. Introduction To Sports Marketing
To learn about the principles of marketing and consumer behaviour in the sports business environment.
3. Sports Facility Management
Introducing roles and responsibilities of a Facility Manager. This involves designing, planning, building, operating and improving a sports facility.
4. Financial Accounting
To understand financial statements and reporting practices for sports organisations.
5. E Sports
To learn in depth about the structure of an esports organisation. The scope of business, structure, roles & responsibilities. An introduction to the jobs available in esports and how to get started.
6. Broadcasting
To study sports broadcasting and media. This involves understanding the process and technology used for broadcasting. And learning from relevant companies who are into sports broadcasting.
7. Sports Governance and Organisational Administration
To learn how sports organisations are managed. Understanding the structures of authority under which professional sports function.

1. E Sports
To learn in depth about the structure of an esports organisation. The scope of business, structure, roles & responsibilities. An introduction to the jobs available in esports and how to get started.

2. Sports Event Management
Hands-on learning of planning and managing a sports event. While also developing an understanding of Project Management and optimisation techniques.

3. Fundamentals Of Sports Sciences
To learn all the basic sciences an Athlete requires to enhance his performance.

4. Sports Entrepreneurship
To majorly learn practical implications of sports entrepreneurship. Additionally, to develop more entrepreneurial thinking in sports-related ventures.

5. Digital Marketing in Sports
To understand the key metrics of digital marketing. Moreover, marketing campaign execution along with tools like FaceBook & Instagram Ads, Google Analytics, etc.

6. Technology In Sports
To learn about the applications of technology in sports.

7. Sports Media and PR
To learn how to promote teams, individual players and sports organisations. Through media channels i.e. broadcast, print, radio, and online mediums.
Trimester III
1. Sports Law
A deep understanding of matters like contract, agency, antitrust Constitutional labour, trademark, Sex Discrimination, criminal and taxation. Additionally, to ensure that the players aren’t being discriminated upon due to their religion, race, or stature. (Case study-based learning)

2. Sports Sponsorship
How to create value propositions to onboard sponsors. Moreover, to learn the art of pitching & negotiating with sponsors.

3. Sports Analytics
To learn about various data analysis tools and techniques. And also how to efficiently handle large datasets, for improved player and organisational performance.

4. Psychology and Sports
To learn how psychological factors influence sports and athletic performance.

5. Video Production
Creating viral digital content is the need of the hour. Students shall learn photography & cinematography for creating aftermovies, reels, and short episodes.

6. Computer Science
To learn the basics of computer vision in cameras. Also, understand what artificial intelligence and machine learning is. Students would be groomed to come up with their own technological ideas.

What is a Live Industry Project?

The capstone is the final establishment of students’ sports management learning experience which will help them shape a career in sports management. It’s time to encash sports education into the reality of earning money. Students would have to design a sporting event, bring in sponsors, organise and execute the event. Students will be split into 2 or 3 teams, and the proceeds they earn from this event would be equally divided amongst their fellow members. They can choose from the following sports:

Admission process & eligibility

Eligibility 1

Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4) or equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum 55% score.

OR

Eligibility 2

Students who have appeared for their final year degree examination can also apply, however, their admission will be provisional and will be confirmed only after producing the results.

If you meet one of these criteria, you are eligible to apply for the programme. However, you will receive a letter of confirmation about your admission only post clearing the entrance test and personal interview round.

Step 1: Application submission

Check your eligibility, pay the fees for the ISM Admissions Test, fill in the application form in detail and take the Admissions Test. The test is designed to assess creativity, aptitude, communication, acumen, general knowledge to gauge the applicant’s vision & interest in Digital Marketing.

 

Step 2: Application review

All applications are thoroughly reviewed by the admissions committee. Shortlisted students will be called for a personal interview during which they can present their portfolios.

 

Step 3: Personal Interview

Each shortlisted applicant will be personally interviewed by the admissions committee. The committee will assess you on your aptitude, Sports Enthusiasm, and general awareness towards sporting trends and news. You will also be asked to produce proof of educational and professional qualifications during the interview. Qualified applicants will receive a letter confirming the admission to the Post Graduate Programme in Digital Marketing

Students can avail scholarships against the PGPSM, but it shall completely depend on the following parameters

 

  • State or National player currently 

  • State or National player in the previous year to enrollment

  • Won a medal for India in a particular sport 

  • Represented India in Olympics or commonwealth games

  • Represented India in an international sporting event
