After almost two weeks of riveting action and thrilling matches, we are finally headed to the business end of Wimbledon. This Grand Slam is renowned for producing some of the best tennis action of all four slams.

Over the years, some of the most exhilarating finals have been played on the grass lawn. Most of those finals involved the greatest of all time, Roger Federer.

Roger Federer Wimbledon

The Swizz legend holds the record for winning 8 Wimbledon titles. However, things have changed since he departed from the scene.

For four years in a row, Djokovic made the title his own. He went from having just three titles to his name in the tournament’s history to seven in just four years. And just when everyone thought he would equal Federer’s record, Carlos Alcaraz broke into the scene to end his streak in 2023.

In a thoroughly entertaining Wimbledon final in 2023, Carlos Alcaraz established himself as a player who can dominate outside the clay court. But coming into 2024, things are different, and the tournament is open to anyone.

Players to watch out in Wimbledon 2024 Semi-Finals and Finals

Novak Djokovic leads the list of players who can emerge victorious in this year’s tournament. Even though Alcaraz defeated him in last year’s final, the Serbian has enough experience to bounce back from that defeat. On top of that, he has an unblemished quarterfinal streak in this competition since 2009 and thrives in the five-set format.

Carlos Alcaraz’s name is becoming synonymous with the never-say-die attitude. Whenever the odds are against him, he has found a way to bounce back. His stamina and shot precision make him stand out among all the youngsters participating in this tournament. Also, his recent win in the French Open and fire of title defence make him an immediate favourite.
