When it comes to professional cricket, school talents are where the passion bridges mastery. And if it requires any evidence, it’s the Mancekji Cooper Education Trust School Cricket Team’s outstanding journey in the prestigious N.L. Dalmiya T20 League. As they stood tall among the 56 schools from the CICSE board, who competed in the league. Finally, their exceptional performance led them to the exhilarating round of 16, portraying their sheer determination and skills in the school cricket tournament.

MCET Cricket Team Reaches Round of 16

Scoring victories against tough opponents like Thakur Shyam Narayan School and MSM School brought great pride to the MCET cricket team. And then, established themselves as a sporting prowess in the city of Mumbai. Led by the astute captaincy of Krishiv Purohit, the team was an embodiment of resilience and synergy as they overcame challenges altogether. 

Standout Performances and Coaching Prowess

Combined with the brilliance of Krishiv Purohit, Harrith Tandel emerged as a shining star for MCET, claiming 8 wickets in the league. The dynamic batsman duo, Ayan Ali and Jahan, remained consistently excellent throughout. Jahan, in particular, shone as an all-rounder, scalping 6 wickets and contributing valuable runs. Jagrav Dubey’s not out innings in the second match led the MCET cricket team to victory. Reyansh Katti also played a vital role, taking 6 wickets in just 3 matches. These individual performances were backed by strong team efforts, which were instrumental in the team’s success.

Besides, of course, a team’s success comes from the combined effort of the whole team and its dedicated mentors. MCET cricket team had solid support from Bhuvan Ranade and Sandeep Joshi for their pivotal roles as coaches as they nurture young talents.
