The league stage of the 2024 T20 World Cup is coming to an end. This tournament has produced some of the best low-scoring encounters in the history of T20 World Cups, courtesy of some slow wickets and outfields in the USA.

But the USA leg has come to an end. The action will shift to the Caribbean, where the Super 8 and the knockout stages of the tournament will take place.

T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 Date and Time:

The first Super 8 game will be played on June 19th between the USA and South Africa at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.

Teams to qualify for T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 stage:

Heading into the next phase, the teams will be divided into two groups:

Group 1:

This group features two hot favourites to win the tournament: India and Australia. Both teams did extremely well in the group stage and entered the Super 8 unbeaten.

Bangladesh, however, doesn’t share the same fate. They had to fight tooth and nail to reach the next stage of the tournament. Afghanistan, on the other hand, has emerged as the dark horse of the tournament. They hold an impeccable position in the tournament and will be expected to create some upsets.

Group 2:

The second group features one of the tournament’s biggest superstars: the USA. They were fabulous in the group stage, defeating Canada and Pakistan to book a Super 8 berth.

West Indies, the host and favourites to win the tournament, are also present in this group. Accompanying them will be South Africa, the first team to qualify in the tournament, and England, which had a narrow escape.

The Super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2024 promises much action. The game’s giants will be pitted against one another, it will be interesting to see who can come through unscathed.
