Teams to watch out for in ISL 2024-25

Mumbai City FC the defending champions

It goes without saying that Mumbai City FC is one of the teams to watch in the new season of ISL. The Islanders enter the tournament as the defending champions and will certainly be hungry for more success.

They have grown steadily over the last few years and have clinched the title twice in the span of four years. With players in strong leadership roles and under the able leadership of Petr Kratky, they will be expected to thrive.

Another important team to keep your eyes on is definitely Mohun Bagan. The Mariners have been a fan favourite ever since football was played in India. However, they were only recently made part of ISL, and it didn’t take long for them to stamp their authority on this tournament as well.

Mohun Bagan ISL title contenders

Mohun Bagan won the ISL in 2023 and the ISL Shield in the 2024 season. They defeated Mumbai City FC for this title. Hence, they will certainly be a team to watch out for, especially considering their squad. It consists of Jason Cummins of Australia, starting with Dimitri Petratos. Both players have been lethal in front of goal recently.
